Taipei, Taiwan, May 6, 2025… Jupiter Instruments is proud to announce a new partnership with acclaimed educator, composer, and performer Daisy Cardona. A driving force in music education and mariachi development, Cardona brings over a decade of experience, innovation, and advocacy for inclusive music programming to the Jupiter and H. Jimenez artist roster.

Currently serving as a Music Specialist for Spokane Public Schools, Cardona is known for pioneering creative opportunities for young musicians—including launching an elementary school rock band program—and for founding Mariachi Cascada del Rio, Spokane’s first mariachi ensemble. She is also transitioning into her new role as Mariachi Director at Eastern Washington University.

A dynamic clinician, adjudicator, presenter, and freelance composer, Cardona has impacted music programs nationwide, working with hundreds of students, directors, and community members throughout her 13-year teaching career. Her leadership previously elevated programs in Georgia and Washington state, including starting Georgia’s first public school mariachi ensemble and leading ensembles to state and regional honors.

Instruments from H. Jimenez, part of the KHS family, are a key part of her teaching and performance toolkit.

Cardona holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education from Jacksonville State University, an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) from Piedmont University, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University.

With her deep commitment to culturally responsive music education and her trailblazing work with mariachi programs, Daisy Cardona is a powerful addition to the Jupiter and H. Jimenez artist community.
