Banded Story:

My dad was a musician and encouraged and taught me to to perform as an instrumentalist at an early age. I was influenced by many professional musicians in my career performing radio shows, performing in dance bands, as a soloist, organist and leader of a combo. In addition, my high school band director guided me on the path to becoming a music major and performer, Dr, James Dunlop, my mentor at Penn State University, was most influential in providing me with numerous opportunities to expand my interest in bands and band music. Lastly, I must truly acknowledge my wife, who is an understanding listener, evaluator and most loyal partner in all musical activities associated with the many aspects of being an educator, band director, mentor administrator and conductor.
