Bio:

Eric Huber heads the percussion studio at the University of Massachusetts Boston and has performed with such ensembles as the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, National Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, and Honolulu Symphony. Eric is the principal timpanist of the New Bedford Symphony. His previous summer engagements include the Spoleto Festival USA, National Repertory Orchestra, Aspen Music Festival, and AIMS Music Festival.    Eric has collaborated with a multitude of eminent conductors including Charles Dutoit, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Christoph Eschenbach, Marin Alsop, and Leonard Slatkin, in addition to distinguished composers such as Gunther Schuller, Jennifer Higdon, John Corigliano, Matthias Pintscher, and Oliver Knussen. Originally from Philadelphia, Eric pursued undergraduate studies at Temple University. He later received a Masters in Music from Boston University and pursued post-graduate study at the New England Conservatory. Eric studied with Will Hudgins, Tim Genis, Angela Zator Nelson, Don Liuzzi, Alan Abel, and Anthony Orlando.
