Banded Story:

I realized that music was a part of who I was when I was sitting in a music education forum as part of my All-State Band experience when I was a junior in high school. I realized then that music was something that I couldn't live without, and that I wouldn't be truly happy if not pursuing it professionally. The old saying goes "Pick a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life". That is absolutely true for me. Music lets me interact with students, perform great works with numerous people and age groups, and to impact the musical lives of others. I love it so much I'd do it for free...but they pay me to do it, and thats the best part! I can't imagine a better way to spend my professional life.
